TORTI CLAIMS PODIUM ON DEBUT AT PHILLIP ISLAND - MONOCHROME GT4
BF Racing South Pacific Marine Group driver Andrew Torti has claimed a strong 2nd place podium on debut, during Round 1 of the 2026 Monchrome GT4 Championship at the Phillip Island Grand Prix circuit.
Torti and co driver Lachlan Evennett had to overcome strong competion from many Supercar level drivers and also contend with wild weather all weekend at the southern Victorian circuit.
It was three different brands in the top three, with CAMM Quarries & Concrete Racing’s Lachlan Evennett and Andrew Torti classified second in the Toyota GR Supra GT4 EVO 2, while Thunder Buddies Racing / Black Diamond’s Ryder Quinn and Daniel Jilesen ended up third.
Starting the race sixth in class, Evennett and Torti were able to make up one place during the 31-lap affair ensuring their promotion to second, while Quinn and Jilesen produced some solid stints throughout the race following a strong effort on Saturday; however, they eventually crossed the line in sixth for the class.
The Queenslander now sits 3rd in the AM level standings as the Monochrome GT4 Championship heads to the Shell V Power Motorsport Park circuit in South Australia on 8th May.
