TORTI HOLDS FIRM TO CLAIM THRILLING GT4 AUSTRALIA VICTORY IN DARWIN
Australian racing driver Andrew Torti delivered an outstanding drive under pressure to claim Silver-Am Cup victory in the opening Monochrome GT4 Australia race at Hidden Valley Raceway in Darwin.

Sharing the No. 88 CAMM Quarries and Concrete Racing Toyota GR Supra GT4 with Lachlan Evennett, Torti helped secure the pairing’s second Silver-Am victory in consecutive rounds following a dramatic finish in the Northern Territory.
Starting fourth in class, the No. 88 Toyota moved into contention during the opening half of the race before a fast mandatory pit stop placed Torti at the head of the Silver-Am field.
With the lead secured, Torti faced the demanding task of bringing the car home while under increasing pressure during the closing stages.
Dean Campbell mounted a determined challenge in the No. 118 Method Motorsport Ford Mustang GT4, rapidly moving through the field before closing onto the rear of Torti’s Toyota.
The final laps developed into a tense fight for the class victory, with Campbell applying sustained pressure as the margin between the two cars continued to shrink.
Torti remained composed, defended intelligently and refused to make an error despite the intensity of the late challenge.
His controlled closing stint ensured the No. 88 Toyota remained in front when the chequered flag fell, securing the Silver-Am victory by just eight-tenths of a second.
The result was a major achievement for Torti, whose ability to withstand the late attack proved decisive in converting the team’s strong race position into victory.

It also completed an impressive team performance, combining a competitive opening stint, a rapid pit stop and Torti’s determined defence during the critical final phase of the race.
The victory continued the strong start to the season for Torti and Evennett, giving the pairing consecutive Silver-Am Cup wins and further establishing the No. 88 CAMM Quarries and Concrete Racing Toyota as a leading contender in the championship.
For Torti, the Darwin race demonstrated his composure, consistency and ability to perform when the pressure was at its highest.
